At epYc, we love seeing our community train hard, build strength, and unlock new skills. But here’s the truth: your progress doesn’t just happen during class — it happens in recovery.
When you give your body and mind the chance to reset, you come back stronger, more flexible, and more focused for your next session. That’s why recovery is a core part of sustainable training.
Recovery You Can Do at Home
Not every recovery session needs to happen in the studio. Here are some simple practices to build into your week:
✨ Stretch it out – 10–15 minutes of gentle stretching before bed can ease tension and improve mobility.
💧 Stay hydrated – water supports muscle repair and reduces stiffness after intense training.😴 Prioritise sleep – most of your muscle recovery happens while you rest. Aim for 7–9 hours.🌬️ Breathe & reset – a few minutes of mindful breathing or meditation lowers stress and helps the nervous system recharge.
🧊 Self-massage or baths – foam rolling, epsom salt baths, or using a massage ball can release tight spots.
These little habits make a big difference in how your body feels and performs — especially when paired with the recovery events we offer at epYc.
Sound baths in Monmouth & Pontypool

Twice a month, we invite you to immerse yourself in a deeply restorative sound bath session. The vibrations of gongs, bowls, and chimes calm the nervous system, release tension, and allow your body to fully reset.
Frankie & Tanya’s Thai Bodywork & Yoga Workshop

This workshop blends Thai bodywork with yoga to release deep-seated tension, improve mobility, and create space in both body and mind. Ideal for sore shoulders from pole, tight hips from flow, or simply carving out time for self-care.
Massages with Green T Therapy

For a deeper reset, Tanya offers a range of massage therapies from our Monmouth studio — from back/neck/shoulder massage to table Thai stretch, Indian head massage, reiki, and more. With 14 years of experience, her sessions combine effectiveness with deep relaxation, helping you recover faster and feel at peace.
Final Thoughts
Training is where we challenge ourselves. Recovery is where we grow. By combining at-home recovery habits with the restorative sessions we offer at epYc, you’ll unlock faster progress, prevent burnout, and enjoy the journey even more.
