Float: Our First epYc Showcase

We’re beyond excited to celebrate something truly special this week — our first-ever epYc Showcase: Float 💫

This event brings together our incredible community for an evening of creativity, courage, and connection. It’s more than a performance — it’s a celebration of movement, expression, and the confidence our students have built through training together.

💜 A Celebration of Our Community

Float is all about sharing stories through movement. You’ll see a variety of performances — from slow, emotional storytelling to fast, dynamic routines — each one created with care, passion, and hours of practice.

For many of our performers, this will be their very first time dancing in front of an audience. Every routine is a reflection of bravery, growth, and the supportive spirit that makes the epYc community so special.

We’re so proud of every single person taking the stage this weekend.

📅 Event Details

📍 Location: epYc Pontypool Studio, Unit 7A, Clarence Street, Pontypool, NP4 6LG

🗓️ Date: Saturday 22nd November

🕕 Arrival: From 5:45pm — performances begin promptly at 6:00pm

⏰ Estimated end time: Around 7:30pm

Parking is available for free at Tesco Pontypool (3 hours max). If you’d like to stay longer, you can use the Your Parking Space app to extend your time.

🪑 What to Bring

We’re keeping the setup cosy and informal for this showcase. Seating will be on the studio floor, so please bring:

• 🧺 Your own blanket(s) and cushion(s) to sit on

• 🪑 A chair, if you need one (we don’t keep chairs at the studio)

• 🥤 Snacks and non-alcoholic drinks if you’d like to make yourself comfortable

We want everyone to feel relaxed and at home as we come together to watch the show.

You can look forward to an evening full of creativity, expression, and community spirit.

Float will feature performances that range from slow, expressive storytelling to fast, dynamic routines. Each performer has worked incredibly hard, and for many, this is their first time sharing their movement in front of an audience.

Float is about more than watching — it’s about celebrating each other. Here’s how you can help us make the night extra special:

💜 Cheer, clap, and celebrate every performer. Mistakes happen — what matters most is showing up and sharing their art.

💜 Keep feedback kind and encouraging. Remember, for many, this is their first showcase.

💜 Be present. Stay off phones during performances, soak up the atmosphere, and support everyone on stage.

We want our performers to feel safe, seen, and celebrated — and you play a huge part in that.
